As much as we'd love for the process of making editing changes to be 'quick and easy', unfortunately this is never the case. The process of changing even 1 clip in an edit can result in the entire rest of the timeline (the editing sequence) to fall out of alignment - both visually and from an audio perspective - as these edits are created to the timing, pace, rhythm and tempo of the beat.

By removing just 1 bit of footage, the entirety of the remainder of the edit shifts in time, meaning all clips following that piece (or multiple pieces of footage) need to be readjusted, extended, cut shorter, new clips adding in to fill gaps; not to mention restabilization & colourgrading of the footage. 

Whilst many people out there think that a tiny feedback change such as 'remove this clip' is easy work, that is far from the case!
